Started by the unlikely combination of a lawyer and a banker, Café Quaint, which is now open at Jawahar Kala Kendra, combines traditional and contemporary ingredients to serve you wholesome and healthy foods. Here, Ayesha Sajjan (the lawyer) is at the helm in the kitchen and Twinkle Singh (the banker) is managing the day-to-day running of the café. They are joined by Ayesha's father, Preeth Singh to oversee their manually brewed coffee. Preeth Singh is a photographer, and a traveller, has a collection of beans from his travels all over the globe, and is now sharing his knowledge on coffee and brewing in association with his daughters’s venture, something he always wanted as his retirement plan. At Café Quaint, he is brewing the finest artisan Indian Arabicas sourced from nine different estates.
Quaint has tied up with the estates to work on the upliftment of the farmers. Their coffee is roasted at Blue Tokai. Quaint is the only café in north India to do chemax - a brewing technique that gives coffee with the clarity of wine, and aromas as deep.
