11 of March 2017, marked itself as a gastronomically sinful day in Jaipur, as the city’s first ever Gourmet Getaway Jaipur International Food Festival swarmed the skies with the aroma of delightful food. The flavours from around the world encapsulated this food fest, receiving an uproar of applause from food critics, top chefs, food & travel writers and all the whos & who of town.
LAVISH DELICACIES FROM AROUND THE WORLD: With live food stations from different countries, the evening fumed with global delicacies such as Teppanyaki from Japan, live barbeque and fondue counters, special Galouti food from Awadh and authentic Mediterranean treats, among others. Amidst that tasty show, what grabbed most eyeballs was live wood fired Pizza, hosted by the Italian chef, Antonio Scirroco.
STARS OF THE EVENING: The event was graced by the presence of celebrity chef, Vicky Ratnani, former minister for Tourism, Art and Culture, Bina Kak, member of the Jaipur’s erstwhile royal family, Narendra Singh, fashion designer, Himmat Singh, writer, Dharmendar Kanwar, actors Rajat Barmecha and Rahul Singh, among others.
